HDFS Impact & Influence

UNR's College of Education: Human Development & Family Studies (HDFS) program reached out to 360 Blueprint to build a partnership in which it gave their HDFS students an opportunity to work with kids hands-on and to give back to the community. HDFS mentors promote positive social change to combat negative stigmas surrounding schools by creating a fun learning environment to help students succeed. The presence and interaction of HDFS mentors provides students with the foundation of higher education that helps plant the seed for successful academic and social growth. HDFS mentors have been a great addition to the  program by implementing 360's diversity commitment and exposing our students to different backgrounds, cultures, and experiences needed for the continuity of success.

SRJS Impact & Influence

UNR's  School of Social Research & Justice Studies (SRJS): Department of Criminal Justice  has been part of the 360 Blueprint program since the first year of the program. The Criminal Justice Department has been an asset to the program by providing a needed understanding and research to better the communities in the surrounding participating schools of the program. The Criminal Justice Department has also provided the program with volunteers. Criminal Justice mentors promote positive social change to combat the negative stigmas surrounding police officers and the judicial system by establishing a foundation of trust and helping students succeed.  Criminal Justice mentors have also been a great addition to 360's  law enforcement initiative  by implementing the continuity of positive law enforcement presence within the schools.
